Recently, the Spanish National Association of Tire Distributors and Importers (ADINE) released data on tire imports from Asia for the first seven months of 2023.

According to the data, from January to July, Spain imported a total of 6.4553 million passenger car tires, an increase of 31.6% compared to the previous year. Of these, 5.03197 million came from China, accounting for 78% of the total.
Truck tire imports reached 334,200 units, showing a growth of 10.3%. The import volume from China surged by 20.7%.
Motorcycle tire imports totaled 697,600 units, a decrease of 11.6% year-on-year. Agricultural tire imports amounted to 109,400 units, down 23.3% compared to last year.

Imports of off-the-road (OTR) tires totaled 118,300 units, a year-on-year increase of 55.6%, with 27% of these imports coming from China.
In July, Spain imported 776,000 passenger car tires from China, accounting for 77% of the total imports for the month. Imports of truck tires from China grew by 72.6% year-on-year, while off-the-road tire imports amounted to 11,100 units, making up 51% of total OTR tire imports.
